Welcome to 'Millcreek Grassfed'
Millcreek Farm is based in eastern Ontario, Canada. Why Millcreek
'grassfed' ?
Well, simply put, our farm's focus is on perennial grasses/legumes as a basis for sustainable food production. All our ruminant animals are
grazed to finish on our pasture but our other animals (bees/chickens etc) get their share of the grass.
Millcreek Farm is home to 1x human family and multiple families of critters, right down to naturally occurring microbial ones we
cannot see! The farm management style includes avoidance of pesticides, inorganic fertilizer and routine-antibiotics. The end result is a lot of fun and
some wonderful tasting produce!

healthy choice we recommend a visit to

Finally! After a week-long slog to get the ‘pigitat’ ready the pigs moved into their summer home. Perfectly timed, it fits with our Canadian rhythm as many folks head out to enjoy their summer homes this long weekend. Pictured are Baldrick the boar and Red. Red lives on with a second chance to prove out in farrowing later this summer. Sandy will join them in the next day or so and her piglets will follow once weaned. The pig move was hard work all round and deserves a post itself; needless to say this scene was the most satisfying part of the endeavour!
Today’s fresh grass serving comes to our cattle along with a convenient shady area for them to lounge in once full up!
New arrivals pictured in the brooder. Our older birds are too few and not producing enough but at the same time doing a great job on the pest patrol. These new girls should be on line by fall and by then we hope to have our local egg offering back on stream – stay tuned.
